How to use boost mode and GPIO characteristics at 3 Volts

星期二,2018-11-27 22:24--Jay Hamlin

I am interested in using the DA14586 with a SPI peripheral at 3 Volts. The datasheet only barely mentions that you need to use boost mode to pull the GPIOs to the 3V rail - but it sounds like only a pullup resistor. There are no operating parameters shown for 3V operation and no examples of boost mode I can find on the reference designs. I found the definitions of GPIO_ConfigurePinPower() and GPIO_POWER_RAIL_3V in the SDK but, again, its not clear that the GPIOs can operate at 3 Volts. I need 3V push-pull for SPI.

mesh production problem for da14586

Fri, 2018-11-02 15:13--turki

Hello Dialog ,

I have a project that is going to use about thousands or maybe millions of da14586/da14585.
Can you ensure me that the mesh SDK available now is compatible with the da14586/da14585 and the support will be available too ??

if the mesh SDK available is not compatible , can you tell me please when it will be available ( an approximation of the delay will be helpful if you don't know it precisely )

Best Regards.

Power consumption in sleep mode in DA14583 and DA14586

Thu, 2018-10-25 20:21--karanshah28

Hi Dialog Team,

We are currently using DA14583 for our application.
Our requirement is low power consumption with battery life of coin cell as approximate one year. We usually use the extended sleep mode in da14583 to save the power.

I wanted to understand the power consumption in sleep mode in DA14586 in comparison with DA14583.

If its lower than DA14583 then it can help us in two ways:
1) We can leverage BLE 5.0 support
2) We can save the power and extend the battery life

Appreciate the help.

Best regards,
Karan

SPI Initialization outside of Peripheral_Init()

Wed, 2018-07-18 06:57--dlo

I am trying to initialize SPI in the On Connect and dis-activate it in the On Disconnect. With the code below, the code hangs in the

do
{
} while (GetBits16(SPI_CTRL_REG, SPI_INT_BIT) == 0); // polling to wait for spi transmission

of uint32_t spi_access(uint32_t dataToSend)

Below is my code for On Connect and On Disconnect:

DA14586 power up issue

Wed, 2018-06-27 04:59--dlo

I'm using SPI to communicate with a display controller. I decided to use the same SPI pin that the internal flash used on bootup since I figured they were selected as SPI for a reason. I specifically left out the CS pin (P2_3) to not interfere with its bootup, instead I selected P2_1 for CS to the display controller. SCK, SI and SO are the same as the internal flash. (P2_0, P2_4, P2_9)

single layer printed IFA, 1 mm substrate

Hi

this antenna (single layer printed IFA, 1 mm substrate) is optimised for FR1 PCB substrate 1 mm thick. (AN_B-027 Designing Printed Antennas_dxf.zip)
how much changes do we need to have it on FR4 PCB with 0.4 or 0.6 mm thick.
or we can compensate by changes on the antenna design or matching pi network components.

please guide me in getting best performance at minimum power consumption.

Thanks & Regards
Paramvir
