Hello Dialog_Support,

I am using beacon mode to broadcast advertising data string. If i want to send some dynamic data then i changed the manufacturer data string and broadcast. At the mobile application side they are receiving advertising data but not getting the byte i have changed. BLE Scanner is able to receive data in form of raw data.

Mobile App is receiving 0 at data field so can you tell me where is the data field located in advertising data? Can you suggest any App other then ble scanner which can able to receive advertising data string?

Good Afternoon,

I have purchased a PAN1740 evaluation kit from the board. I would like to customize the beacon's identifier strings (they are currently set as per the value indicated in UM-B-019).

How can I go about doing this? I have found reference to using the Smart Tag (proximity) samples from the SDK, but the software did not want to boot after programming (at least I could not see anything in the Locate application).

Thank you in advance for an indication of where I might be able to look for more information.

BLE advertising Frame with unexpected bits

Hi all,

I've demodulated an advertisement frame from a DA14580 device using the rohde and schwarz CBT BLE tester. However, I'm having trouble understanding the frame structure. I've attached a picture (in pdf) showing part of the demodulated frame.

为什么会有额外的比特1字节之前preambl吗e?
Is a carrier tone (indicated by arrow) absolutely necessary before the actual frame?

P.S. I was able to detect the DA14580 device just fine on a BLE sniffer. So, it's working fine.

Project beacon test

Hi, I'm a newbie. I have a DK Pro of DA14583 and i downloaded source code of Beacon project. I have followed these steps to test the project Beacon:
1. Build project with Keil C 5.
2. Connect the DKP with laptop via USB.
3. Download hex file via Smart Snippets.
4. Use BlueLoupe in my smartphone to scan

But none can be scanned by my smartphone. Is there any problem here?

Hi,
I've just started working on the DA14580 and I have an iBeacon application to develop. Knowing that there are some different specifications between the beacon developed by Dialog and Apple's one (advertising data packets and Advertising Interval). I would like to kow where can I configure the Dialog beacon to respond to Apple's specifications.
