Hello,
I am currently looking for a power management solution for my Spartan-7 design. I'm just planning to use the DA9061 to supply the XC7S6 since it should only be a simple design with no ddram. Is the DA9061 shipped preprogrammed with the configurations I need for the Spartan-7 power requirements? I read that DA provides the INI files for standard applications like the iMX6 and Minized.
I assume that with the preconfigured DA9061 I would be able to get the right current and voltage out of the buck lines if I follow the circuit design in the performance board schematics from//www.wsdof.com/232_03_B
Or ìs it not as easy as I imagined?

Hi Nabdo,
We have an application note on using the DA9062 with a Spartan-7 design:
//www.wsdof.com/sites/default/files/an-pm-096_dialog_power_solutions_for_xilinx_spartan-7_devices_1v2.pdf
The note also explains more on our development kit and how to control it with our software. There is an OTP variant available with the right voltage settings. So yes, it is pretty straight forward. Have a look through the application note to see if this fits your requirements.
Best regards, Robert
Thanks for the link.
I have read the application note before. It refers to an evaluation kit for the DA9062. After reading the data sheet 10 times, I started to understand that I don't have any other choice than to buy the eval board to configure the PMIC. I don't plan to buy the kit and was only looking for an easy solution for my power requirements.
Besides, I don't need custom configurations that fine-tunes every current and voltage value. I just need the standard configuration for that specific fpga, which is the 7 Series Spartan.
I would appreciate any information or hints. Thanks

Hello Nabdo,
Due to the configurability of the Spartan-7, we cannot generate a standard variant that could be used by multiple customers, this due to if either the power requirements or start-up sequence was slightly different a new OTP would be required.
我们可以产生新的OTP豪ver we would need to understand the business case more. The DA9061/62 and the DA9063 all can be ICP programmed, however this cannot be done with Automotive parts.
Would you require Auto motive parts for this design?
I can reach out to discuss the Commercial aspects more if required. However, the Eval board is a good tool for testing and evaluating the DA9062.
Kind regards,
Elliott Dexter
