Port -- cross matrix connection special requirements ?

I forgot to connect a signal input (DATA) that ported to Matrix 1 on this SLG46620.

Matrix 0 is working but it appears that interconnection to matrix 1 components are not working.

Clock and data inputs on matrix 0 which also has some D-FFs forming a shift register with taps going to some combinatorial logic and then out to pins.

Clock goes to matrix 1 with similar connected D-FFs and taps to logic and then to pins (some on matrix 1 side) and some back to matrix 0.

Is there some special requirements for these ports to interconnect matrix 0 and matrix 1 ?

Rules checker does not show any issues and matrix 0 appears to work as designed except for signals relating to matrix 1.

I see NO application notes or videos talking about different matrix usages in the documentation.
