On SDK5.0.3 directory, i have seen the windows based source files for proximity reporter & monitor and attached the image for reference.
Proximity Directory Path is ""SDK 5.0.3\DA1458x_SDK\5.0.3\projects\host_apps\windows\proximity"
What is the use of those examples?

The files that you mention include some basic windows applications that run on a windows based PC. Basically there are applications acting as external applications that send commands over the GTL interface to the 580 in order to perform actions. For more information you can have a look at the UM-B-010 User Manual : Proximity Example in Integrated and External Processor Solution.
