Can we use 32kHz oscillator for 1MHz SPI transactions?

Hi,
In our application, we want to reduce the power consumption and turnoff BLE. So our question is if we switch our oscillator from 16M to 32kHz will we still be able to have SPI transactions which will work at 1MHz?
Is our understanding correct about the power requirements about oscillators that 16M will consume more power than 32KHz.

Thanks
Bharath

Hi Bharath,

Hi Bharath,

Yes a 16MHz crystal will consume less than the 32KHz but i dont see how you are going to produce a 1MHz clock from a 32KHz clock as input regardless the fact that you can't clock the SPI module with a different clock other than the one that the system clock so you will have to change the clock of entire system and have it working under the 32KHz which is something that is not supported via the SDK.
