Different between 14580 and 14680

Dear dialog stuff,

When I begin to design a wearable device with 14580, a new chip 14680 come to me, and it seems also good for wearable device, so, could you briefly tell me the differences between them?
Thanks

Hi simon chen,

Hi simon chen,

Well, there are a bunch of differences between the 580 and the 680 SoC that couldn't be presented in a short forum answer, in short the 680 is a more powerfull module that integrates a lot of functionallities that a wearable design could have, more memory space, faster clock up to 96MHz, much more peripherals than the 580 and features (for example the 68x family has an embedded battery charger module), the 68x family operates over the Free RTOS operating system and also there is a wearable reference design that will be released soon by dialog. The differences between the two families 68x and 58x are very obvious so in order to pin point their exact differences one should go over their datasheets. In the end it all depends on what one would like to implement and the choice of the proper module depends on the requirements of the project.
