SPI MASTER

Hi,

I would like to know the significance/purpose of setting peripheral as SPI MASTER in booting sequence. It is already stated that, for device to boot from flash, flash has to be configured as SPI SLAVE and dialog chip as SPI master, with predefined configurations. So, what does boot from SPI MASTER refer to?

Thanks

Hi wisilica,

Hi wisilica,

I am not sure i get the question. There are cases where the 585 acts as an SPI slave to an external MCU, and the MCU wishes to download the fw to the 580, so the external MCU acts as an SPI master and the 585 as an SPI slave.

Thanks MT_dialog
