Creating transparent UART

Hi all i'm using a PAN1740 Series USB Starter Kit and lost on where to start for creating a tranparent UART connection between the PAN1740 USB.

So essentially the end goal is to open TERA TERM and send messages to my IOS phone and receive the exact message back. And vice versa using the IOS application.

I've been looking at the documentation for the software application guide but i'm still confused.

Any direction on which sample SDK code and implementation methods would be much appreciated.
