Dear Sir,
I have a DA14695 evalution board and , I would like to enable the DTM mode with contant tone extension feature for AoA and AoD.
I have currently flashed the 'ble_external_host' demo project in the SDK_10.0.8.105, where I could successfully enable DTM mode for Bluetooth 5.0 version, but V5.1 packets are not activated
Is there a different project file that enables the above mentioned capabilities?
Many thanks

Hi LennoxConner,
The DTM (assuming you're referrering to Direct Test Mode) is different from the CTE.
DTM is to set the device in radio test mode to test the PHY layer by transmitting and received packets.
To set the 69x in DTM, you can build and load the plt_fw project in the SDK and use the RF Master tool in our SmartSnippets toolbox to perform various tests or can also use a serial terminals to send these commands.
CTE on the other hand is part of the new AoA or AoD schemes and can be setup depending on you application.
Can you please elaborate on what is it you are trying to implement/achieve here.
Best regards,
LC_Dialog
I have a follow up question with respect to the original question. It is mentioned in your documentation that the above mentioned module indeed supports Bluetooth V5.1 commands. Can you please elaborate on that? How does that relate to Constant Tone extension, and is it possible that there is an SDK that does support it? Also, you've mentioned earlier that the CTE packets will be enabled in a 2021 release. Is it possible to narrow down the time frame to a specific month (or within a few months) in 2021?
Thank You
