i am using murata Dev board- Type ZY for measuring current consumption
i have custom board with DA14580 i used this with Beacon project, current consumption during advertising is high - peak 12ma
i have tested same with custom board with DSPS slave project - still same
how can i reduce this... i want to use my custom board in beacon - not connectable mode ,...

What is the configuration of the custom board that you are using buck or boost ? If its boost then the current consumption that you get is quite expected.

Custom Board uses Buck mode... same as IOT smart bond board

If its buck mode and also as far as i see besides the RF activity also the rest of the waking up activity is also elevated, i would say that you have wrong tool configurations, in the Smart Snippets Toolbox there is a "Config" button, check the Multiplication factor on this, the value should be about 10 for the dev kits. Also there is the AN-B-051 Smart Snippets Power Profiler Calibration.pdf that will guide you in order to perform the calibration.

I did the first step in calibration , but second step to change Multiplication factor - how to do calibration for Murata Dev Board - LBCA2HNZYZ - Type ZY

I suppose that the calibration procedure is quite similar to the pro kit of the Dialog dev kit, i am not aware if Murata has a calibration document for the P2ML3656 dev kit, but you can check the schematic of the murata board and apply the proper connections.

Is there any other way to measure current consumption during advertisement than power profile ??(8 - 10ms) .this exercise i need to do for custom beacon board(non connectable advertising)
earlier with same murata board without any calibration i was able to measure current consumption that time peak current below 5ma, now i am getting 23ma, what could be the problem ?
I tried to calibrate Murata board, Power profile stopped when pressed switch in murata Board
fly wire setup in Murata board=> output of current measurement circuit goes to DA14580 daughter Board VBAT , this VBAT connected to Multimeter positive and Multimeter Negative connected to P1_1 switch (this switch is connected to ground with out any resisters)

Most probably the problem is with the measurement procedure, i dont think that the custom board consumes that much power and only during transmition of reception, unless something extra on the PCB draws additional power while the device is in TX/RX state. What you can also do in order to measure the power consumption during advertising events is using an oscilloscope with differential probes and measure the voltage drop over a small resistor (2.2Ohms) and calculate the current or you can use a Power Ananlyser for more accurate measurements.

How about post the schematic and part number of other parts? Some LDO or IC's quiescent current might be high

- because i am using this custom board for more than 6 months , During that time peak current is about 5-6ma only .I tested with proximity reporter , smart tag, DSPS everything worked fine(5-6ma peak current).
- Event same codes i tested with Murata Type ZY and IOT smart band boards.(less peak current 5-6ma).

- But all of sudden i am getting 23- 25ma peak current(MurataTYPE ZY , Custom Board, Smart Bond IOT).
In all of the setup's i use Murata Type ZY dev kit's current measurement circuit for Power profile.only possible explanation is problem with Murata Board, i do not have any other Dev kit with current measurement circuits.
