A possible procedure might be to power the daughter-board through a battery or an external power supply, use an external debugger or uart for the programming, and many on-board handmade modifications are needed. It’s not tested, so we cannot guarantee that is working.
My suggestion would be to not try to program the DA14685 daughter-board without the mother-board, as you support it while as a whole kit.
In case you don’t want to buy the Pro-DK, you can buy the DA14595 USB. It’s very easy-to-use and not any external boards are required. Please take a look:
