Hi ksalgado,

Hi ksalgado,

Many thanks for your question online. Please notice that the micro-USB port is only for charging functionality. In case of debugging and downloading code through SmartSnippets Studio, you should use an external board named Connection Interface Board (CIB). The Wearable reference design does not have JTAG on board, so that why the SmartSnippets cannot detect it.

Please read section 12.4 Connection with CIB ofUM-B-076 DA14681 Wearable Development Kit Software Manualin order to check how the Wearable should be connected with CIB. You will also find steps for downloading firmware in next section.

Can you please let me know if you already have the CIB or you missing it?

In DA14681 Wearable support portal, you will find all the available documentation you will might need.

In case of starting your own project, please keep in mind that the DA14681 Wearable Development Kit is pin to pin compatible with DA14683. For new designs, we strongly recommend the usage of DA14682/3 SoCs.

嗨,我说过:https: /

Hi, as i said here:https://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/forums/post/dialog-smartbond-bluetooth-low-energy-%E2%80%93-hardware-device-reference-designs/wearablei have a problem with the wearable, as it seems like dead. i connected as said in the 12.4 section with the pc and i built the wrbl project. after that the screen of the wearable is shut off, even when i connect it with the pc it doesn't flashes. in the above link it is said to try to download the firmware to the wearable. But when i connect the components as said in the section 12.4 i have the beforementioned message. What should i try ?

Hi ksalgado,

Hi ksalgado,

请检查附件图片和比罗的步骤w. Can you please double check if you have the same hardware setup?

  1. Connect the CIB with your PC via the USB connector
  2. Flip the switch it the position “ON”
  3. Set all the required jumper headers
  4. Connect the CIB with the Wearable board
  5. Flip the switch on the Wearable board in the position “DOWN"

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi, i wold like to ask, why when i have the above setup is not necessaraliy that is connecting. I mean that i have tried it with different PCs, and sometimes the DK with the setup shown and explained above, cannot connect. Sometimes i need give more than 10 tries in order to connect. What should i do?

Hi ksalgado,

Hi ksalgado,

Sorry, I am not able to understand your question, can you please explain it? This setup should be used when programming the Wearable DK via JTAG. Do you mean that you are unable to see the JTAG?

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Yes, exactly. When i want to

Yes, exactly. When i want to programm the Wearable DK, i configure this setup. When i press the button in the IDE detect connected devices the message that is shown is "No devices have been detected. Note that devices are detected via JTAG. Please make sure that your device has either an integrated JTAG or a JTAG cable attached ". But this isn't happening every time. What i mean is that it can be detected but next time not. Sometimes i need a lot of tries in order the devices to be detected again.

Hi ksalgado,

Hi ksalgado,

Does the DA14681 run any firmware or the QSPI flash is empty? As already mentioned, this is the HW setup in order to program the Wearable Kit, as is does not include JTAG. Please check the cables.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
