Hi,
My application requires a Bluetooth range from 90-100meter. Can you guide me if DA14585/ 86 is validated with an RF amplifier with a trace antenna?
Can I have the reference design with the above scenarios if already validated?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Kinjan Patel,
Please have a look at the DA14585/6 Range Extender reference design!

Thanks, PM_Dialog
Thanks for the email.
I found reference design of DA14681 + SKY66112 available in your above-mentioned link.
Can you guide me where can I find the reference design (Schematics and .brd file) of DA14585 + SKY66111 and DA14580 + SKY66111?
Also please let me know on what will be the max TX power only if DA14586 is used without FEM.
Thanks
Kinjan
Hi Kinjan Patel,
You could find the schematics and .brd files of DA14585 + SKY66111 under the following link:
https://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/resource/hardware-collateral-da14585sky66111-range-extender
Regarding the DA14580 + SKY66111 please follow the link below:
https://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/resource/da14580-range-extender-ref-design-gerberslayoutbom-version-2
According to DA14586 datasheet, when the supply current at VBAT3V, TX is at 3.4 mA and RX is at 3.7 mA (with ideal DCDC)
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Thanks
From the above link, still, I could not find the source file (.dsn and .brd) for DA14580+SKY66111.
Is there any other location that can help me with the source file?
In the above thread, my question was how much max RF TX power does DA14585/86 can provide in dBm?
Is it 5dBm or less?
I am trying to find, how much does standalone chipset can provide without external FEM.
Regards
Kinjan
Hi Kinjan Patel,
Apologies, you are right regarding the source file (.dsn and .brd) for DA14580+SKY66111. I will discuss it internally if it is possible to upload them again. I will keep you updated! The typical TX output power of the 585 is -1 dbm the maximum is 0 dbm.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Thank you.
One more question. Can I use SKY DA14585 + SKY66112?
The reference design for DA14585 is only for SKY66111 but I wish to use it with SKY66112 for the higher range.
Also maximized range from below link shows 13.5dBm max output power when used SKY6612, but is there any scope to go beyond 13.5dBm with trace antenna shown in reference design?

Kinjan
Hi Kinjan Patel,
As you can see from out support portal, the SKY66112 is delivered with DA1468x products and we have never use it with DA1458x. When using the DA14585 + SKY66112, the max output power is +9.3 dBm, but If you want to use the DA14585 with the SKY66112. I am not aware which will be the max output power.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
