best antenna range

which type of antenna has the best range among all the antenna available in the document AN_B-027 Designing Printed Antennas_dxf.zip
and the favourable conditions.
and does the antenna material does make difference in the range and power consumption.

The multilayer antennas in general present better efficiency which means better range.
