I am working on the ble_app_barebone project. By default, the sleep mode is OFF, and in the project I have modified the sleep state to extended sleep mode. But, even after this modifcation, the extended sleep mode is not getting invoked. Are there any other changes to be made for activating the extended sleep mode ?

Powering down the DA14580 SoC et al can be a useful tool for achieving minimum power consumption when Bluetooth connectivity is infrequent, and this is done typically with a LDO regulator or sufficiently strong host I/O port pin. However, care is required to ensure no port pins are driving into the SoC during that power-down period. In a simple system typically a UART Rx, Tx and the BLE SoC RST pins will be connected between host cpu and SoC.

根据你的教程”Training_05_ble_security_example_v1.1" I've selected authorization on connection. Our device is without display and keyboard. I've replaced the 'system generated' PIN-code (app_sec_gen_tk() function) with a fixed value, and this is functioning OK. The smarthone-app presents the PIN-code dialog. So far, so good. But I wonder if there is a better way to solve this problem (without having to edit one of the SDK's files) ?

we are using DSPS Host project , with custom Board Da14580 ,
As soon as the slave get connected to the host, we are sending data from the slave.And after reception of data we are disconnecting the slave from the master and putting the device to sleep. Master keeps on scanning and when the device wakes up it get connected again and this procedure continues.
It is working fine for some time and after some time, we were facing a issue(Q1).

I have planned to evaluate proximity monitor & reporter in external processor. For that i have LPC54102 micro-controller for external processor and DA14850 DEVKIT -pro as BLE.
On SDK5.0.3, example for both proximity monitor & reporter is available for external processor in the name of prox_monitor_ext &prox_reporter_ext .Both examples are compiled with Keil IDE and generated HEX file.
For external processor implementation, i have followed the documents UM-B-017,UM-B-010,UM-B-003.

I am working on the ble_app_peripheral project. I am issuing an app_easy_timer of a particular duration. Within this duration the device is switching role from observer to broadcaster and vice versa, a number of times, for which a number of gapm_reset_commands are issued. The problem arising is that, the handle of the timer is not getting invoked. Please suggest solutions for the same.

On BLE, lot of different names for roles, which is confusing.
What is actually the difference between master, slave, central, peripheral, client, server?
How many ble device can act as central and peripheral (both may be multiple or which one will be single or which will be multiple)?
