Hi

I try to measure the power consumption of my application with smart snippets, but if I select the UART/SPI mode for using the power profiler any COM port are not available in this part! I cant figure out the problem!
I follow These steps:
1) connect the board (Da14580-Basic) to the pc and compile the code using Keil (DA14580_DSPS_3.150.2)
2) open the smart snippets tool and create a new project and select the UART mode (because as I told if I select the UART/SPI mode for using the power profiler any COM port are not available ) , Com port and the proper chip version and choose open.
3) open the power profiler tab, but `Start` button is inactive!

also I just find AN-B-015 document related to the current measurement that is not useful for my kit!

Thanks MT_dialog

Hi sarab,

Hi sarab,

The basic kit doesn't have a measurement circuit, you can't use the power profiler to measure your kits power consumption, only the pro and expert kit provide that feature. You have to use a DMM in order to measure your power consumption of your project.

At the AN-B-015 document one

At the AN-B-015 document one of the method that has been mentioned is: `` measure the voltage over the 2.2 Ohm 1% measurement resistor (R11)..`` that is useful for DA14580 motherboard and is different from DA14580 basic kit!!! in the datasheet of my board I don`t know how should I measure the power consumption!

Hi Sarab,

Hi Sarab,

As i allready mentioned, you have to use a meter capable of dynamic range down to uA level and up to the mA level in order to measure the power consumption of your board since there is no current measurement circuit. Regarding the Connection Manager just plug it in your pc (make sure that you have the UART pins connected with the appropriate jumpers) and run the connection manager as an administrator, boot as central or as peripheral and thats it.

Thanks MT_dialog
