Manufacture ID

Hi Dialog,

I have to write iphone and android phone peripheral characteristics through DA14580, where dialog controller is working in central mode.
On android phone dialog controller can write successfully but on iphone it can not write. Could it be due to non IOS/Apple device manufacture ID?

Can we change manufacture ID DA14580 to 0x004C when it working as central device?

Hi sabasit,

You are trying to change the characteristics of the Device Information Service on the android via a 580 central ? The specification declares the characteristics of the specific service as READ only and all the other properties are excluded.

In the DISS service all the fields are editable and you can place your information of your device in the fw.
