Hello Dialog support,
I am working on a script using SmartSnippets to program via UART. In our programming jig the connections are sometimes bad, and the programming fails with messages like
- Timeout while waiting to receive the most significant byte of packet length (10000 msecs)
- Timeout: Reset signal not detected for more than 16000 msecs.
I would like to drastically lower those timeouts, to recover faster from this condition. In the help file which for me is in/Toolbox/common_resources/SmartSnippetsToolbox_Help/cli/command_line_if.htmlI can not find any information about parameters influencing the timeout. Is there maybe an undocumented switch?
Thanks,
Johannes

Hi gme_johannes,
Probably you should check the connection between the JIG and your custom board and make them more stable, use shorter cable etc. There is not any document to change the time out - but I will ask internally to check this out.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Hi PM_Dialog, were you able to find out about this timeout?
You are right, ideally I would mitigate all problems, but it is a mechanical complication with the holding structure, which I can not fix as easily. This causes a bad contact on occasion.
Thanks,
Johannes
Hi gme_johannes,
Apologies for the delay but I haven’t found that time out. I’ll get back to you by the end of this week.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Hi gme_johannes,
We have escalated this to our Tool experts to check if this is configurable.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Hi gme_johannes,
对不起我回复晚。Changing the timeouts is not possible as the values are hardcoded and will require to be changed in the new release.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Hi PM_Dialog,
thank you for getting to the bottom of this. Maybe this will find its way into future release of SmartSnippets.
Thanks,
Johannes
