Hello,
I'v just received DA14580UNDB-P and DA14580DEVKT-P. I wanted to start work with USB Dongle and Connection Manager. Unfortunatelly I have a problem with dongle.
As far as I understand it should be discoverable as j-link device and COM port. ConnectionManager is using virtual com to communicate with dongle. My devices is recognized as J-link but there is no new virtual com port and i can not communicate with dongle via ConnectionManager. Could you give me some advice what am I doing wrong?

USB Dongle problem
Ok, I was able (after manual driver reinstallation) to discover Dongle also as Virtual COM Port, but still i cannot properly use it with connection manager. After trying to load firmware I only get msg: "Unknown command line option loadbin.txt"
Hi there, I'll have Ture give you a call to walk through this. BR JE_Dialog.
Hi Pgora,
there are a few things I have found with the connection manager. first if you have a 64bit PC please make sure that you install and use 32bit Java. secondly ensure that you have admin rights in the install directory as loading the firmware generate two additional files including a .bin file which is loaded. a quick test if this is the issue can be to copy the “full_emb.hex” file to your desktop and try to load the firmware from there.
This should work.

And this is the step by step description:
First make sure that the Java installed on the PC is a 32bit version there seem to be some issues if the 64bit version is installed.
After this please follow these steps to ensure that the setup are correct and that the right admin rights are set for running the scripts needed to download the firmware.
That is it and the ConnectionManage should now be able to execute the scripts and download the firmware to the USB dongle.
