Hello,
I am setting up a new Linux Ubuntu 18 install with SmartSnippets. I followed the directions here://www.wsdof.com/sites/default/files/user_manual_um-...
I have the SDK installed and extracted in the same directory as I have selected as my workspace.
我第一次安装SDK (hotfix) into a fresh directory. Then I ran the .run file, selected the Install recommended JLink option, and then ran SmartSnippets by running the DiaSemi/SmartSnippetsStudio/CDT/SmartSnippets_Studio.startup.sh script.
When I do this I select the same directory with my SDK 1.0.14 installed. After I select that a blank Welcome screen is all I get. The link above tells me the SDK Tools Installer should be launched immediately but it is not.
If I try to import a project that I know works on another Linux machine with SmartSnippets, it tells me it can't find the arm gcc cross-compiler, even though I can see it exactly where PATH expects it...
Please help,
Derek
For example, importing the ble_adv demo project and attempting to build results in this output in the console:
10:39:07 **** Incremental Build of configuration DA14683-00-Release_QSPI for project ble_adv ****
make --silent pre-build main-build
Generate linker scripts.
/bin/sh: 1: arm-none-eabi-gcc: not found
../makefile.targets:11: recipe for target 'mem.ld' failed
make[1]: *** [mem.ld] Error 127
Building file: /home/sensor/Microsensor/sdk/bsp/startup/config.c
Invoking: Cross ARM C Compiler
/bin/sh: 1: arm-none-eabi-gcc: not found
make: *** [startup/config.o] Error 127
startup/subdir.mk:31: recipe for target 'startup/config.o' failed
Running the following command gives me:
$ locate arm-none-eabi-gcc
/home/myusername/DiaSemi/SmartSnippetsStudio/GCC/4_9-2015q3/bin/arm-none-eabi-gcc
and looking up the PATH variable gives me:
/home/myusername/DiaSemi/SmartSnippetsStudio/GCC/4_9-2015q3/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/snap/bin:/home/myusername/DiaSemi/SmartSnippetsStudio/Tools/mingw64_targeting32/bin:/home/myusername/DiaSemi/SmartSnippetsStudio/Tools/doxygen/doxygen-1.8.9.1/bin
The first entry is where the compiler is located...
Hi Derek,
Thanks for your question. Can you please indicate the version of the SmartSnippets Studio? Is it version 1.6.3 or 2.0.14 or any other?
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Yes, it is 1.6.3.
Thanks,
Derek
