I’m using a DA9062-EVAL3 board and I am able to program blank ICs and also to test the power sequencing of the BUCKx and VLDOx outputs on my oscilloscope. The steps I take here are (1) connect the oscilloscope probes to the EVAL3 board's BUCK/VLDO output pins, (2) turn the switch to TP_OFF, and (3) turn on the power supply (5V, 0.5A). This works well!!
Sometimes it would be convenient, though, to quickly check the sequencing without having the oscilloscope involved. However, I cannot seem to properly use the ADC plot in the DA9062 SmartCanvas UI to check the output on these rails. Here, my steps are very similar to the previous ones: (1) keep the switch on the TP_OFF position, (2) plug in the USB to the EVAL3 board, (3) start the SmartCanvas UI, and (4) turn on the power supply.
After the SmartCanvas UI starts up, the "Bus Communication" error LED icon blinks red continuously. Pressing the "Reconnect to Device" button doesn't help. I assume the ADC plot is not updated because of the communication error.
I am not sure if my steps described above using the SmartCanvas UI are incorrect or if there is a different issue that I need to account for. Please advise how to proceed.
Thank you so much,
J-L
Hello JL,
Have you programmed the device before testing?
Could you send me the ini file you are using?
Kind regards,
Elliott
Hello Elliott,
The DA9062 PMIC is programmed. I can verify the correct boot-up sequence on the oscilloscope using the EVAL3+daughter boards. Also, the rails have the correct voltage levels. So the programming of the IC and the verification of it works well using the oscilloscope.
My question was if I could use the SmartCanvas UI's live ADC plot to verify the boot sequence. The live ADC plot in the UI shows the correct voltage levels after boot-up, but I believe that the UI is not quick enough to show the boot-up sequence when the power is turned back on. This feature may not even be available in the SmartCanvas UI. I was just wondering if this feature is available in the SmartCanvas UI and wanted to verify it with you.
Thanks so much,
J-L
Hello JL,
我的错误,我以为你无法commuciate with the IC. Let me test this function and get back to you.
Kind regards,
Elliott
Thanks, Elliott.
