I have a brand new DA9062-EVAL3 board with socket board (232-02-A). I have followed the instructions from the "Getting Started with the DA9061/DA9062 Evaluation Kit" guide that came in the box. But when I take the final step, namely when I power up VSYS from the power supply, I lose the USB connection and thus I cannot connect to the PMIC.
These are the instructions I followed:
1. Ensured daughterboard is firmly seated into the motherboard.
2.将主板开关设置为“TP_ON”。
3. Set the external power supply to 5.0 V and 500 mA but kept power output off.
4. Ensured no jumper settings changed and the settings look like the ones in the guide.
5.启动SmartCanvas DA9061 / 2并打开电源指令模式。
- Up to this point everything worked as expected (USB connection was on and software was polling).
6.打开电源以应用VSYS。
- Once the power was applied to VSYS the USB connection dropped. A warning dialog box pops up saying "USB connection has been lost. Entering Offline mode..."
- I have tried 5.0 V and 500 mA, as well as 3.6 V and 500 mA. But either way, the USB connection is gone as soon as the external power supply is turned on.
What could cause this problem? What is the solution to overcome this issue? Should I just set jumper J5 to power VSYS, and hence the socketboard and PMIC, from the USB and forget about the external power supply?

I have installed the new software and driver. Also, I have used the provided Test ini file and found MRC to be 0x2.
