DA7212 miscellaneous questions

Hello,

I have two questions where I have been unable to get answers from the datasheet. I'm hoping that a support engineer can help answer.

1) What is the delay through the device from the DAI to DAC to Line out?

2)有更多的通知ation on LDO? It is only briefly mentioned in the datasheet. From a software perspective I have noticed that most of the scripts you provide customers enable the LDO, yet it would apprear that it's function is hardware dependent - i.e. whether the LDO ouput is used to power any external digital signals. In my current hardware platform (the NXP FRDM-K66F), the VDIG pin is tied to ground via a capacitor and the NXP supplied drivers do not enable LDO. Could someone point me to more information regarding LDO please.

Thanks,

Scott

Hello Scot,

Hello Scot,

  1. Table 14 on page 18 of datasheet contains some informtion for yourself.
  2. The LDO is used for internal IC purpose only. I beleiavbe the cap is used for decouping.

Kind regards,
Elliott

Thanks Ed - I have some

Thanks Ed - I have some follow up questions.

1. The Group delay listed in Table 14/pg 18 only inludes the DAC delay. What about the digital delay from the DAI to the DAC?

2. So is your recommendation that it is MANDATORY for the software driver to enable LDO (register 0x90) in all circumstances?

Thanks,

Scott

Hello Scott,

Hello Scott,

1. We do not have typical delay time between the DAI and DAC.

2. I have spoken with our applications team and almost all projects enable the LDO.

Kind regards,
ED
