DA14580DEVKT-P seems reboot

Dear support,

When i plug the usb cable in dev kit. the DA14580DEVKT-P seem reboot.

In windows i heard the plug device sound and the D7 led blink slowly every +/- 2 sec.

J11 is set in USB MODE
UART is selected.

No com port is detected.

I have follow the UM-B-034 user guide.

Hi,

It appears that the instructions are missing a step. You will have to download a driver for the FTDI chip on the board (this driver contains support for a standard serial port as well as a SPI bus)

Here is the Link to FTDI's download sitehttp://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm

I will make sure that this step is added to the instructions ASAP. You ALMOST deserve a finders fee ;o)

But :(, I have installed the driver :
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ftser2k.sys (MD5 : F1544BBC7E08BB5B9E9E97996C3FA04B)
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ftdibus.sys (MD5: 13799CB7521A39724FFDEA2E5D9C8305)

Nothing change ! The dev kit seems reboot again !

Hi,

With the correct driver loaded, you should see 2 serial ports appear in the Device Manager on your PC the moment you plug the board into the USB port. If this is not the case, I believe there may be a problem with either your PC or your devkit. Have you tried to reboot your PC (virtual COM ports and PCs aren't always playing nice).

The devkit is detected as Generic Usb Hub not as virtual serial port.

That indicates a driver issue. Please uninstall the FTDI driver and install from the link I provided above.

Have you tried to connect the board to a different PC (after installing the drivers as discussed above)? Just to identify if there is an issue with the environment or with the board.
