I have developed a PCB based on reference designs, including an I2C sensor device.
I have burned the SW to the DA14586, and functionally the device appears to operate as expected and 4~5uA in extended sleep modes.
However, when I change the IC to DA14585 a current measurement of the device reports a reading of 110uA in extended sleep modes.
后I view this post, I think I have the same issue. My PCB connected pin 5 (VCC_FLASH/P3_0) to CR2016 battery+(Vbat).

Is there any methord to make DA14585 work without PCB change/disconnect pin 5?

Hi ksckung,
The increased current consumption is due to the VCC_FLASH. In the DA14585, it is needed. As described in the previous forum post, you have to cut the track which connects the pin 5 (VCC_FLASH/P3_0) with the CR2016 battery+(Vbat). As soon as you cut and modify your custom PCB, you will see the expected current consumption.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Both in QFN40 package
In DA14586, Pin 5 is VCC_FLASH. The current consumption of Flash is very small. In extended sleep modes, the whole system use 4~5uA.
In DA14585, Pin 5 is P3_0, not VCC_FLASH. The increased current consumption(should be?) is due to the P3_0 I-PD at Pin 5 but connected to Vbat.
In DA14585,Is it possible to set P3_0 to Input, pull-up to fix this problem without cut the track?
In DA14586,P3_0 is not Not supported. Is it still fin to set P3_0 to Input, pull-up? We would like to use the same FW.
Hi ksckung,
My recommendation is to cut the track which connects the pin 5 (VCC_FLASH/P3_0) with the CR2016 battery+(Vbat) if it is possible.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
If it is impossible, DA14585 QFN works or not when P3_0 connect to Vcc and set Input, Pull-up.
Hi ksckung,
Glad that it is working and thanks for your indication.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
DA14585 QFN works when P3_0 connect to Vcc and set Input, Pull-up.
