COM port no longer shows in device manager

Hi,

As the title says, the device was showing up in device manager but is no longer showing up. When I try to use tera term the port is also not visible. How can I resolve this issue as I would like to use the UART capabilities.

Hi michael12344,

Hi michael12344,

Do you have a custom board or any of our development boards? Could you please try I with an other USB cable and in a different COM port? If the DA14585 is still alive, you should detect it at least in the device manager.

Thanks, PM_Dialog

Hi,

Hi,

I am using the basic development kit board. I have tried the device on different ports, cables, and computers without success. The board seems to be working otherwise and the J-link driver still shows up under USB controllers when plugged in. The device doesn't show up under the Ports menu. I happend to have another basic development kit and it all works on the same computer. I have noticed that when using Keil on the fully functioning board that I get a prompt to update the firmware version. Is it possible that updating the firmware (J-link V6.30h) on the other device has messed it up in some way?

Hi michael12344,

Hi michael12344,

Could you please make sure that you have the correct jumper configuration? The jumpers should be in the same position as described in the Figure 2: The DA14585/586 Basic Kit Jumper Setting ofUM-B-048 DA14585 & DA14586 Getting Started Guide with the Basic-Development Kitdocument. Also, I would strongly suggest you to check the power rails. Are you able to download firmware into the System-Ram with the usage of Keil tool?

Thanks, PM_Dialog
