Powering the da14583 smartbond kit with a 3.7v lipo?

Hello, is it possible to power the Smartbond da14583 dongle with a 3.7v LiPo? Of course at full charge, this battery will be closer to 4v and I don't wish to damage the board.

My entire project has an internal space of 17mm x 17mm x 17mm. I actually want to eventually include wireless charging, so if somebody can advise me on my options I would be very grateful. Maybe a Lipo isn't even necessary, but wireless charging with no internal access is a must.

基本上我using the sensor dongle to build the smart dice, but I want it to have wireless charging so the dice can be completely enclosed.

Thank you in advance for any answers. Im a huge novice at this.

Hi MagicDanielle,

Hi MagicDanielle,

According to DA14583 datasheet, the maximum voltage limit for VBAT is 3.6 volt (Table 256: Absolute Maximum Ratings) and the recommended voltage is 2.35V – 3.3V (Table 257: Recommended Operating Conditions). So, it is highly recommended to not supply the chip with a voltage over 3.6 volt. Regarding the wireless charging, we don’t support it, and we have worked with a third party on A4WP called MAPS who provide the complete solution, as BLE is only a small fraction of the whole tx/rx implementation. Please follow the link below:

I'm going to be completely

I'm going to be completely honest here. I have no idea what A4WP or MAPS is, the link you just sent is frustratingly vague. What am I even meant to do with this website? Can I order from them? It's a complete solution to what exactly? I don't know what you are sending me to.

Hi MagicDanielle,

Hi MagicDanielle,

As I mentioned in my previous post, we don’t currently support wireless charging, so we have worked with a third-party company onAlliance For Wireless Power (A4WP)被称为MAPS. So, if you want to implement wireless charging, you should get contact with MAPS. That’s why I sent you the MAPS link.

Thanks, PM_Dialog
