Licensing and open sourcing a project?

Hello,

I'm wondering if am I allowed to Open Source a project that I've written by making it a public repository on GitHub. I would definitely NOT uploading any of the DA1468x SDK itself.

In my code, however, I am obviously making API calls, so I'm not sure how that conflicts with the proprietary license of the SDK. Also, this is not a commercial project if that matters and I'll use a GPL license like FreeRTOS.

I am extremely eager to answer any questions you have.

Thank you for your time,
rpbritton.

Hi rpbritton,

Hi rpbritton,

As long as you do not publish any part of the SDK then we are happy for you to publish any of your code that uses our API's. However we would only permit the use of permissive type licenses such as BSD and MIT type licenses. We would not allow use of the GPL, LGPL, MPL, EPL etc.

Best regards

好的,我将使用一个麻省理工学院的许可

好的,我将使用一个麻省理工学院的许可in that case (I take it you meant you would NOT allow GPL).

Thank you very much,
rpbritton

Yes, typo on my part.

Yes, typo on my part. Corrected above and for clarity repeated below:
