Hello Dialog,
We are planning to create a custom board with DA14585 soc. We want the end module must be in small form factor. For that we don't want to use PCB printed antenna on our custom board instead of that we are planning use chip antenna.
Is there any specific chip antenna which can be used for DA14585?
or
Can we use the same chip antenna which was used in DA14583 IoT reference design? Is it suitable with Da14585 soc?
Thank you

Hi vishnuatdialog,
Yes, you are able to use the same chip antenna which was used in DA14583 IoT reference design. This antenna is used for BLE, so it is suitable with Da14585 soc.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
Hi,
can you please tell which chip antenna is exactly used?
I can''t find some part number in the > DA14583 IoT Sensor Development Kit
Need small form factor too.
Thank you!
Hello, Firefox2005
Antenna: 2.4GHz CHIP ANTENNA ULTRA MINI 0.37mm
Manufacturer: Johanson Technology
Distributor: Digikey.
I am sharing datasheet also please find in the attachment.
Hi vishnuatdialog,
thanks for sharing! :)
Hello Dialog,
If I can use the same chip antenna which was used in DA14583 IoT reference design for my DA14585 soc based custom PCB, what will be the matching circuit will it be same or different?
If it is different will it be provided by you or we have to ask the chip antenna manufacturer?
Thank you.
D.Vishnu
Hi vishnuatdialog,
Yes, you are be able to use the chip antenna which was used in DA14583 IoT reference design. The matching of the antenna depends on the PCH that you are going to design. If you use chip antenna, it is recommended to ask the manufacturer about the matching. For more information about the antennas please take a look intoDesigning Printed Antennas for Bluetooth® Low Energy AN-B-027from our portal page

Also, I relative past thread about the matching of the antennas is the above:
