Boot Sequence and criteria on each boot step

Hello support,

I will ask about the boot sequence installed in DA14580 ROM.

Could you please tell us "the criteria" of each boot that is described on page4
of that application note(AN-B-001 - Booting from serial interfaces v2.0.pdf).

I understand that there are From 1st to 11th boot step on the page4 of its application note.

We are planning to boot from "the SPI Slave device". (@Strep 7)

From step 1 to Step 6, although the judgment sequence is listed(Fig.1 and 2),
it was not possible to confirm the description of the method of judging(condition)
whether or not there is a boot device.

Our Background:
Devices not related to boot are connected to each port of DA14580.

Our Purpose:
I want to shorten the time to Boot in Step 7.
Therefore, I want to check whether the state of each port affects the boot sequence (Step 1 to Step 6).
每个启动步骤,请你provide the criteria for checking whether DA14580 can boot.

Regards,

Jun-ichi

Hi Jun-ichi Tobe,

Hi Jun-ichi Tobe,

I dont quite get the "criteria question" or what the problem is, please correct me if i am wrong but as far as i understand you have additional devices on the 580 pins and you are concerned if this will affect the booting sequence of the 580 when booting from external devices ? Am i correct ? What exactly is that you would like ? Regarding the shortening the time to boot in step 10, you can use the secondary bootloader and modify it in order to boot only as an SPI slave, there is no other way to change the ROM bootloader other than burning the OTP with an additional bootloader. So the by having an image in the OTP the device will perform an OTP copy, and run your custom bootloader immidiatelly.

Thanks MT_dialog
