Hello Prasanth,

Hello Prasanth,

For your first question...

Yes, there is a Battery Profile available for you to monitor the battery. Please refer to following documents to implement this into your application. However this profile gives you the information related to how much charge is left on the Battery.

RW-BLE-PRF-BAS-IS: This gives you the information about the APIs.

bass.handbasc.h: For implementation details

UM-B-050_DA1458x_Software_Developer's_Guide_1v1: Checkout the section 6.6 on how to add the profile.

Note:This is a very simple step. You would just need to add the header file of the specific profile to the user_profiles_config.h

For your second question...

In order to look at the current readings for different events, the SmartSnippets Power Profiler is the best choice. This is supplied along with the SDK or you can download from the support portal. Using this tool is simple and straight forward. However, you would need to have a DA14580_PRO_DevKit and you can connect the IOT DevKit to this Pro DevKit to do the power profiling which is also a simple and easy step.

Best,

LC

Hello Prasanth,

Hello Prasanth,

A1 : Yes, you can use the power profiler using the MURATA P2ML 3656 DevKit. The IOT SmartBond does not support the profiling. But you can use the MURATA DevKit to route the input source to the IOT DevKit to use the power profiler. Please look at the schematics of the DevKits to understand how to connet the DevKits.

A2 : In order to measure the current connect your DMM test leads between the input source jumpers if the DevKit provide such jumpers. Regarding the exact pin configuration, you might have to look at the schematics or approach Murata for additional support in the context of DevKit. It is the same for the Oscilloscope measurements on Murata DevKit.

For the IOT DevKit Current Measurements, there is a jumper J16. You can connect your DMM test leads to the pins of this jumper and you can get the current readings.

Best,

LC

Hello Prasanth,

Hello Prasanth,

Unfortunately, I do not have access to the MURATA board now. Please reach out to the MURATA support regarding the MURATA P2ML 3656 DevKit. I would be happy to help regarding Dialog DevKits as I have access to these.

Best,

LC
