Bit error rate and rssi

Dear Dialog,

I would like to know the bit error dependancy on the receiver's rssi. Our system is using DA14580
的peripheral and central sides. To decide the maximum distance for our actual application,
we need to set the criteria on rssi value based on the wireless layer's error rate dependacy.

So, I'm appreciated very much if Dialog can provide any experimental data relating to this purpose.

Best Regards,
yukio

Hi yterasaki,

Hi yterasaki,

The related data is indicated in the datasheet on Table 295: Radio AC Characteristics, the level of accurancy is 2db and the level resolution is about 0,474 db/LSB that means that the RSSI value has a maximum error of approximatelly 2 bits.

Thanks MT_dialog

谢谢,对话框saff,但是

谢谢,对话框saff,但是maybe my question was not adequate... My concern is that error rate vs. distance.
if you have data such as transmission error vs. distance between central and peripheral, would be appreciated.
(I understand this depends on many factors such as design of antenna, pcboard etc, but just want such data
as reference.)

Best Regards

Hi yterasaki,

Hi yterasaki,

We haven't performed such kind of measurements since the outcome is fully dependant on the factors that you ve mentioned.

Thanks MT_dialog
