Hi Dialog,
Now I consider the 16MHz (2x1.6mm) Crystal the ESR about 200 ~ 300ohm. Because, it's difficult to find the crystal under 100ohm.
For example, the mouser's all 16MHz 1206 crystals have over 200ohm. There is nothing under 100ohm esr.
The requirement for 16MHz X-tal's ESR lower than 100ohm is so critical ?
I read the requirements for x-tal's esr from thehttp://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/resource/b-018-da14580-checklist...
The larger esr results the longer start-up time. If the esr is 300ohm may be the start-up time ~10msec.
The start-up time 10msec makes the DA14580 not working? i.e DA14580 can not boot or shows malfunctioning operation?
是怎样的requirement's for 16MHz X-tal's frequency tolerance? 100ppm frequency tolerance is suitable?
Please guide the mandatory and critical specifications for 16MHz crystal can be used with DA14580 safely and without preparation frequecny trimmming during the mass production process.
Hi igotit,
The oscillator certainly can work with higher ESR values but will have as side efect a longer crystal start-up time, this will lead to longer connection events and higher power consumption.
About the requirements of the 16MHz XTAL please check the datasheet Table 286: Recommended operating conditions.
Thanks MT_dialog
Hi Igotit,
For another option, see BB_Dialog's post here:http://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/2016-size-16mhz-quartz
I can confirm that River's crystals more than fit the bill. I didn't get clear info from Epson yet.
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for good info.
I didn't find out the manufacture for suitable crystal. So I have no choice except large ESR. The large ESR make the the large current consumption, and make me crazy ^^;
However, your post make me happy.
Now I will contact the River.
Thanks a lot again.
