SC14WAMDECT Module
Wireless Audio Modules for Public Address and Tour Guide Systems
The first DECT based wireless audio solution of its kind
Delivered as a complete and pre-tested wireless audio module, it makes system development as simple as possible. Our module does not require radio frequency (RF) expertise, expensive RF equipment, or extensive resources to move forward with your design and production.
Crystal-clear sound
Using double slots within the DECT protocol, the microphones operate with a bandwidth of 12kHz. With a latency of ~14msec, this solution is very suitable for these kind of applications.
As an RF technology, DECT is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Moreover, it ensures interference-free communication, allowing multiple applications to be used at the same time and same location without frequency planning. Moreover, to streamline your product creation process, we have a demo system to show you the performance and offer schematics as a reference.
公共地址系统功能
The SC14WAMDECT is a Wireless Audio Module with an integrated baseband, radio transceiver, power amplifier, and crystal to be used for cordless microphone applications in the DECT and DECT 6.0 band. It is a module intended for users who with little or no experience in DECT wish to make a system consisting of 2 microphones, portable parts (PP) and one fixed part (FP) configured as a receiver or integrated into a speaker.
The exact same SC14WAMDECT module is used as both the FP and PP, only configuration of the module will decide the role. The SC14WAMDECT module has been pre-approved for usage in all countries using DECT in the frequency band from 1880 - 1930 MHz as well as for the DECT 6.0 to be used in North America in the frequency band 1910 - 1930 MHz.
Tour guide system functionality
An additional feature of this module is the Tour Guide System functionality, where you can have with one microphone support up to 128 receivers.
This can be headsets for tour guide solutions, which can be used for tours (inside as well as outside), congresses, (multilingual) conferences, bus- and boot tours and theaters, where also speakers can be wirelessly connected to cover the bigger rooms with clear sound.
As the SC14WAMDECT module is fully certified, you do not lose time and money to realize your product.

DA7211 ALC
Posted byfbc10 points 3 repliesWe use only the R MIC input + PGA + R ADC, but we can’t have the ALC work as expected.
The configuration is as follows:
- R MIC gain @ +12dB
- R mixer input is R MIC only
However, when the ALC is enabled with the following settings:
- ALC_MAX = 0x3C (-0.5dB)
- ALC_MIN = 0x3B (-2dB)
- Other registers at default values
The issue is that the signal chain gain never changes, and it is similar to the gain that we have when we disable the ALC and set the IN_PGA gain = -4.5dB.
So the ALC seems to basically always setting the IN_PGA gain to the minimum, and never changes it, whatever the input level.
Can you also clarify the following :
- Can you confirm the ALC analog sampling is made after the R mixer and before the IN PGA?
- What does it mean, -0.5dB in ALC_MAX? Is it the ADC Full-Scale minus 0.5dB?
- Can you confirm that the ACL is only setting the R IN PGA gain? And that the PGA gain is thus comprised between -4.5dB and +18dB?
- We don’t understand why the ALC always sets the minimum PGA gain whatever the input signal. Normally, if we have a signal lower than -2dB, shouldn’t the ALC increase the IN PGA gain so that we have an ADC value of FS-2dB?
Here is a dump of our configuration:
DA7211_PLL_DIV3, 0b01010000, // Bypass PLL, MCLK = 10..20MHz
DA7211_PLL, 0b00001011, // Set the FS = 48kHz
DA7211_CONTROL, 0b10010111, // Noise Suppression OFF, BIAS ON, VDDIO < 2.65V, Digital Regulator ON
DA7211_IN_GAIN, 0b00110011, // L/R PGA gain : 0dB
DA7211_INMIX_R, 0b10000001, // Enable MIX_R mixer + PGA, connected to MIC_R
DA7211_ADC, 0b10000001, // ADC R enabled, ALC enabled
DA7211_MIC_R, 0b10000011, // MIC R : enable the MIC R amplifier @ +12dB
DA7211_DAI_CFG1, 0b00000000, // DA7211 is I2S slave, 16-bits stereo
DA7211_DAI_CFG3, 0b10001000, // Enable DAI and DATOUT
DA7211_ALC_MAX, 0x3C, // ALC MAX - enable @ -0.5dB
DA7211_ALC_MIN, 0x3B, // ALC MIN - disable @ -2dB
DA7211_STARTUP1, 0b00000001, // Finally enable the DA7211
