SmartBond™ DA14583 combines the benefits of the lowest power, smallest size and lowest system cost Bluetooth low energy System-on-Chip with an integrated flash. Furthermore the DA14583 is pin to pin compatible with the DA14580 thereby offering a unique cost down path from flash to OTP.

Hi Dang,
Thanks for accepting my answer. Yes, a chip antenna can be used. In general, every ceramic chip antenna for the 2.4GHz band could be used. However, the antenna selection is closely depended on the board. Different ceramic antennas might have special placement needs : some needs to be mounted on the edge, some needs ground free bottom layer, etc. There is a great variety of 2.4GHz chip antennas available on the market. Please follow the layout guideline in the datasheet and see also theAN-B-075:DA14531硬件指南文档。

If you are starting a new design or project, we would strongly recommend moving into DA14531 or DA14585/586 products and SDK6.0.14, as it is much more improved. We have a lot of code examples and improved documentation, and there is also software roadmap support. There is not any software roadmap support for DA14580 product family and SDK5.
