magnetometer loosing calibration
Posted bygme_johannes10 points 1 replyHi Dialog support,
We are trying to calibrate (the magnetometer of) a DA14585 device via the Dialog IoT Sensors app. We used the one-shot auto (smart fusion) setting for calibration. We used one-shot auto (smart fusion) calibration method and experienced the following:
- the calibration deteriorates after a day or two when the device just lies around
——校准是永久地失去了如果我们把e。g. headphones or a smart phone close to it, even if it's only for a short period of time (~3sec). I would have expected that the calibration will not work properly while such devices (headphone, smart phone, etc.) are close to the magnetometer but will start working again after the devices are put (farther) away.
Can you explain this behaviour?
Thank you
Katharina

Hi gme_johannes,
Thanks for your question. Regarding the magnetometer calibration, I have replied you in the following forum ticket :
https://support.dialog-semiconductor.com/forums/post/dialog-smartbond-bluetooth-low-energy-%E2%80%93-software/magnetometer-calibration-modes
So, if I understood correctly the calibration settings are lost after the device is disconnected? The coefficients can then be stored in Flash memory for subsequent initialization of the calibration algorithm.
Thanks, PM_Dialog
