Pro board not detected when running Blinky
Posted byjamartin0 points 6 repliesI am trying to run the Blinky Example as shown in the 'Getting started with the DA1458x Development Kit – Pro' guide. I get to step seven, the step where you check that the SW device has been detected correctly. However when I try to do this, no device is recognized. When I try to run the debugger after this it leads to the error: "No Cortex-M SW Device Found".
How can I make the debugger recognize my board? What could I have done improperly along the way that would lead to this problem?
Thanks

Hi jamartin,
Try to go In the Debug tab and while having the the reset button on your board pressed hit the settings options, as soon as the settings window opens release the reset button and check if the 580 will be recognized by keil. There aren't any other requirements in order for keil to recognize the dev kit, do you have another daughter board to test ? Or perhaps try to plug your board in another USB port, also you can check through your Device Manager if your PC properly recognizes the JLINK.

I have the same problem. I have the pro develpoment kit P/N DA14531-00FXDEVKT-P, installed all of the SW and trying to run Blinky. The device is not recognized. I have switched USB ports, I have tried the reset button. I do not have a J11 jumper on my DEV board as referenced above, but all of my jumpers are the same as the picture in the startup guide. I have tried to connect the Smart Tool, but the board is not found. I think I have tried everything I have found in the support postings to no avail.
I do not have another daughter board available. Please help, I have spent days on this issue.

Hi Jamartin,
In Keil select the "Options for target" and in the debug tab select the "Settings" option. At that point you should be able to see the SN of the JTAG and the IDCODE of your 580, in case you dont see the 580, check the port option and make sure that SW is selected and not JTAG, try to hit the reset button on your board, and make sure that the jumper on J11 header (on the PRO kit) is placed in the usb selection and the TMS&TCK jumpers are placed on the appropriate pins on the J5 header.
